Safety tips

Safety actions

Before you meet

Check seller history, ask for current photos, and keep the agreement in mr.bid messages.

Before you pay

Meet in public, inspect the exact item, and never share an OTP, PIN, or account password.

If something feels wrong

Pause the deal, preserve the chat, report the listing or conversation, and contact your payment provider.

mr.bid staff will never ask for your password, one-time code, bank PIN, or remote access to your phone.

  1. 1. Meet in public

Choose a busy place when you can, and inspect the item before you pay. Do not send money to someone you have not agreed terms with on mr.bid.

  2. 2. Keep the record

Use mr.bid messages for price and handover. Staff will never ask for passwords, OTPs, or bank PINs.

  3. 3. Report a problem

Report a listing from its page, or a seller from the shop. That opens a Safety case. Contact support is a different queue for help tickets.

  4. 4. Disputes

Open a dispute from the deal conversation. A return is a separate case after you received the item. mr.bid does not hold funds, so it cannot reverse a mobile-money or cash payment.

  5. 5. What you can list

Items you have the right to sell, described honestly. Community guidelines has the full prohibited list.
